Promoting Historic Preservation,
Education, and Patriotism

This is a photo of smiling members of the Governor George W.P. Hunt Chapter, NSDAR.

The Governor George W.P. Hunt Chapter, NSDAR, is a local chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR or DAR). Our chapter is named for the first governor of Arizona and is based in Gilbert, Arizona. Our members come from many parts of the East Valley and beyond.

The Daughters of the American Revolution is a service organization open to any woman over the age of 18 who can prove descent from an American Revolutionary War Patriot. Much of DAR’s work is accomplished by volunteers in its chapters across the United States and internationally. The DAR’s three mission objectives are historic preservation, education, and patriotism.

Our Chapter

Our chapter members are a vibrant group of ladies of varied ages and occupations who are involved in the community. As members of the DAR, we are dedicated to promoting patriotism, education, and the preservation of our national history.

Our chapter holds meetings from September through May, and prospective members are always welcome! For more information about our meetings or any inquiries about DAR or our chapter, please contact us. We often engage in a service activity during our monthly meetings, and we participate in many types of patriotic and community service events in our community throughout the year.
